Privacy and cookie policy

1. Who is responsible for the data
Rigel, a web studio based in Ericeira, Portugal. Contact for any privacy matter: studio@rigelsites.com. The controller's full identification (name and tax number) is given in every proposal and will be published on this page when the business is registered.
2. What data we handle and why

We don't sell data, build profiles or use your data for advertising.
3. How the form works
The quote request form doesn't send data to any server: pressing "Send request" opens your email app with the message already written, and you decide whether to send it. The price estimator works the same way, only in your browser.
The speed test opens PageSpeed Insights, a Google service, in a new tab with the address you typed. From there, Google's privacy policy applies.
4. Who else may see the data
- Website hosting: Cloudflare, which may process technical logs for security. Data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards set by the GDPR (such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
- Email provider: the service we use to receive and send email.
- Accountants and authorities: when the law requires it (for example the Portuguese Tax Authority).
Fonts, scripts and images on this site are hosted on the site itself: nothing is loaded from advertising networks or social networks.
5. Artificial intelligence, security and children
- We use artificial intelligence tools to help write and organise messages and proposals. Proposals and decisions are approved by a person; we make no solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
- We protect data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), strong account authentication and access limited to what is strictly necessary.
- Our services are meant for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
6. Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to studio@rigelsites.com. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Portuguese Data Protection Authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt), or to the authority of your own country.
7. Cookies
This site uses no cookies, first-party or third-party, and no analytics or tracking tools. That's why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to accept or refuse. If we ever use cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will only do so with your prior consent, with a "Refuse" button as easy as "Accept", and we will update this page.
During attacks or suspicious traffic, our hosting provider may set a technical security cookie (for example, to tell people from bots). It is strictly necessary, needs no consent and is not used for tracking or advertising.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. Important changes will be flagged on the site.
